By air

Milan - Malpensa airport is the nearest and more convenient airport, approximately 35 km from Belgirate. 

BY HOTEL SHUTTLE BUS

A shuttle service will be provided from and to Milan Malpensa airport on the day of arrival, Saturday, 11 September, and on the day of departure, Tuesday, 14 September. Travel time is approximately 1 hour.

Saturday 11 September
Departure from Milan Malpensa Terminal 1.
Time:  10.00 – 12.00 – 14.00 – 16.00

Tuesday, 14 September
Departure from Villa Carlotta: 15.30 – 16:30

The shuttle service must to be booked in advance by means of the hotel room reservation form. The form can be downloaded at the hotel accommodation page.
Costs: 38 euro for both transfers (no one way ticket is available), to be paid directly to the hotel.
The costs will be charged by the hotel immediately on the credit card together with the deposit for the room.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE FOR THE SHUTTLE SERVICE.

by PUBLIC TRANSPORT bus

The Alibus service leaves Milano Malpensa airport according to a timetable, but this is a service on call that must be booked in advance through the website or by phone, no later than the day before the departure, by 11 a.m. Please note that if a minimum number of people is not reached for a certain departure, the bus can be cancelled. If the bus is fully booked, no additional bus is provided for the same time.

Departure from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, travel time 45-65 minutes.
Departure times from Malpensa 2: 07.10 - 10.10 - 12.10 - 14.10 - 17.10 - 20.10
Departure times from Malpensa 1: 07.30 – 10.30 - 12.30 - 14.30 - 17.30 - 20.30
Costs: 9 euro, to be paid cash in the bus.

BY TAXI

Taxis can be found outside the airport terminals. Costs from Milan Malpensa to Belgirate: approximately 80 euro.

By train

Belgirate has a train station, on the line Milan-Domodossola-Geneva-Paris. Villa Carlotta Hotel is located at 10 minutes walking distance (downhill!) far from the railway station. The train leaves from Milan Stazione Centrale F.S.
Malpensa Shuttle Coach Buses depart every 20 minutes to the Milan Central train station from Terminal 1. Travel time: 45-50 minutes.
Costs for one way: shuttle: 7,50 euro, train 4,95 euro.

BY CAR

From Malpensa airport, take the A 26 direction Genova / Alessandria.
At the fork to Gravellona-Genova/Alessandria take for Gravellona.
"Exit" Arona (the first crossroad after about 5 km from the junction).
Take direction Arona - Lake Maggiore.
Once in Arona, take the highway for Stresa and continue on highway until Belgirate (about 10 km).
In Belgirate continue on the highway (SS 33). The hotel is located along the outside of the city of Belgirate.
