Belgirate is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 110 km northeast of Turin and about 11 km south of Verbania.

The 4 star hotel Hotel Villa Carlotta is located between a private park of 40.000 m2 and the flowered shores of the Lago Maggiore. It overlooks the lake, with private beach, and has a tennis court, a heated swimming pool and private docking.
